We're flashing back to 27 November 2025.
Why? Because The Delta Riggs have constantly been on our mind and playlist since then.
Patiently waiting for the Kaiser Chiefs, out walk the support act — The Delta Riggs. I had no idea what was about to hit me.
Elliott Hammond strides out first, full of swagger, and it doesn’t leave him for the entire set. Imagine being right up front for Like Never Seen This Before and Baddest Motherfucker in the Beehive — the electric sound, the strutting beat, the kind of groove that forces your body to move. You can’t help but watch in awe as Elliott completely captivates you with every snap of his hips and every gritty note.
The rest of the band — Alexander Markwell, Jesse Pattinson, Michael Tramonte, and Simon McConnell — are absolutely locked in, rocking out with a core energy that makes you forget they’d been “gone for a bit.” It felt tight, alive, and loud in all the right ways.
This memory comes back to me easily, probably because The Delta Riggs ended up being Our favourite Act out of the 48 live shows we saw in 2025.
If you’re new to them, it’s easy to dive in. Start with Like Never Seen This Before and just let it roll. You’ll keep finding songs you know, songs you love, and songs that make you wonder how you didn’t realise sooner how good they are.
Elliott’s voice is undeniably authentic — gritty, story‑soaked, and instantly recognisable. The tracks are multi‑instrumental journeys, some with heavy brass surprises, all with that erratic, groovy, sexy edge. Think 70s rock meets psychedelic garage, with a modern kick.
If you like The Strokes, The Vines, or Blossoms, you’ll find something to latch onto here.
Start with:
• Never Seen This Before
• The Record’s Flawed
• It’s Over
• Reality
• Baddest Motherfucker in the Beehive
• Ornate Delicate Creatures
• Out of Place
But honestly — don’t stop there.
